I’m a 28 year old woman living in the wonderful city of Chicago on my own for the first time in my life.
The thing is, I’ve never been good at “home stuff” or “girl stuff.” My apartments have always looked disorganized, poorly decorated and decidedly undomestic. All of that changed this year when, in the course of a month, I got divorced and bought a condo. I started taking up crafty, homey, decorating type activities with gusto. I think it’s my effort to force calm and order into my life.
So, if you ever read other girls adorable decorating blogs and think “there’s no way I can possibly do this” this is the blog for you. I’m not Martha, I’m not perfect, and I’m not in a creative profession. I’m a scientist and I’m slowly bumbling my way through these traditional girly pursuits. Join me, won’t you?
