Have you checked out decor8?  If not, you should – it’s on my blogroll and it’s one of the blogs I read every day (actually, I subscribe to the feed – wohoo Google Reader)!  It’s authored by the (I’m sure) lovely Holly and is always filled with good stuff.  Over the past few days, it’s been extra filled with good stuff….

I’ve mentioned the photographer Irene Suchocki in this blog before.  I love, love her work.  Holly’s teamed up with several of decor8’s sponsors to offer special deals to blog readers and one of them is from Irene!  And it’s a doozy – Irene is offering buy 1 get 1 free on 8×10, 8×8, 11×14, or 12×12 prints!  Now I just need to decide which two I want.  To get the deal just mention decor8-2007 in the message box at checkout.  This deal is valid at both Irene’s Etsy shop and her website.  Some of my current favorites from Irene:

The hanging garden

The future begins now

And, as previously seen, Liquid Forest

decor8 also has a very cool feature where they highlight five Etsy artists each Tuesday.  One of the artists today particularly caught my attention because I was thinking of making something very like this for my  mom’s birthday.  Greenware design makes ceramic planters and plants them with succulents (which is fabulous – even I usually can’t kill succulents!)  These babies are beyond cute and would make awesome and unexpected holiday or  hostess gifts!  Each is a very reasonable $30-$35 (though do note that these are cuttings and not rooted plants, so your mileage may vary on how long they live).
